My story is a little different than most. After getting into UC Davis I knew that it was time to take on the world. I was a Mechanical and Aerospace engineering student for 3 years pretending everything was alright until I was eventually kicked out of school for lack of a sufficient GPA. Needing to take a year off until I could try and get back in, I worked three jobs and took a full load of classes at the local junior college all the while teaching myself how to program. After happily getting accepted back into Davis, I graduated with a degree in Economics and started an online travel company during my last year which enabled me to catch the eye of Oracle. I use to be afraid to share my story because of the possible embarassment, but now I let people know about it because no matter how hard life can be; hard work, dedication and perserverance will make you successful.

Being a self taught programmer I am constantly learning new web technologies. In order to learn these languages fully I create websites in order to test out my new skill. RandomBuzzfeed.com was created in order to learn how to call RSS feeds and display them.
In my spare time (and in order to make some extra cash), I buy items from thrift stores, yard sales and flea markets in order to flip them for a profit on eBay. It's a hobby that i've been doing for about 10 years now and have sold everything from women's jeans to vintage stereos.
During all my years in college I was a Mechanic for the city of Davis bus system called Unitrans. Did everything from troubleshooting electrical work to rebuilding an entire engine. I still continually work on cars whether it be with my Dad in my hometown or at my house.
⇒ I love to travel. Been to many places such as Italy, Mexico, Hawaii, Jamaica and numerous different states.
⇒ Another passion of mine is art. There can be so much going on in the world, but by simply picking up a pencil or paint brush everything will calm down.
